Grandmaster Abaya Grew up a rough neighbourhood in the Philippines. He began his martial arts study at a young age as a way to protect himself and keep away from the bad influence the streets had to offer. But he never gave up on his passion to develop a richer understanding of life and and the way of a true warrior. Latter on his life has impacted thousands of students worldwide in a postive way.

When I started my personal training with Grandmaster Abaya I was astonished by how much everyone respected him as a teacher and a friend. Training with Grandmaster Abaya in Jendo was a wonderful experience it was tough and challenging. Grandmaster Abaya did not accept any shortcuts only hard work through training and studying could one become proficient in martial arts. Even though training was hard he always took the time make sure each student felt like they were family.
